Matthews USA Names Ryan DiNunzio as Director for Recreation and Player Development
Matthews USA is pleased to announce that Ryan DiNunzio has been named Director for Recreation and Player Development for our club. Ryan has been with Matthews USA for a number of years and is a valued member of our staff.
Executive Director Gary Hamill said of DiNunzio, “Ryan brings experience from all levels of the game both as a coach and player. His dedication to the development of players will be a huge asset to the club”.
Coach DiNunzio spent two years coaching in the collegiate ranks with Pfeiffer University (Misenheimer, NC) in 2006, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2006-2007. Ryan recently completed his 3rd year playing for the Charlotte Eagles, which included a USL-2 Championship in 2005. Prior to that Ryan played for the Rochester Rhinos of the USL 1st Division, where he received the team’s Community Service Award. He also spent one season with the Kansas City Comets of the MISL.
A native of Buffalo, NY, Ryan played at the University of New Hampshire where he completed dual degrees in Sports Administration and Business Administration. Playing four years as a varsity starter, Ryan served as Captain his senior year and earned America East All-Championship Team honors.
